Vijay Sethupathi Says He'll Take Few Cameos "It's Affecting My Lead Roles"
Mumbai: Popular south Indian actor Vijay Sethupathi has decided to quit taking up cameo roles in movies. "It's affecting my lead roles and hence from now on I'm staying away from cameos" he says, however for a cameo in 'Jailer 2', out of respect to superstar Rajinikanth, he did not follow his own statement.
'Cameo' is Affecting My Lead Roles'
In one of his recent interviews actor Vijay Sethupathi revealed his decision that he is not at all taking cameos now. "I'm virtually quitting cameos. It gets used for promotions. That expectation creates a lot of effect on my lead roles", said the actor.
Just For Rajinikanth!
Vijay Sethupathi also mentioned his cameo in 'Jailer 2' is the only one exception that he has been part of after his announcement. "The only movie that has been an exception to my rule has been Jailer 2 which I have taken purely out of respect and affection to Superstar Rajinikanth. When a Superstar like Rajinikanth is there in the film, then everything has to be for him. I don't have problem with that at all", the actor explained.
Prioritizing Movies
Vijay Sethupathi who is now doing varieties of roles on a single frame over the past few years, will be giving a priority to all his selected films now. 'Taking few film will help me only further for my career", believes the actor.
