Singer-songwriter Badshah has apologized after his latest release “Tateeree” drew criticism for allegedly containing objectionable references to women and minors. He confirmed that the track has now been removed from all platforms.
On Saturday (March 7), the 40-year-old singer-songwriter Badshah, known for hits like “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai” and “Genda Phool”, shared a video on Instagram addressing the controversy around his new track. He acknowledged that the lyrics and visuals had upset many, particularly in Haryana, and emphasized his pride in being Haryanvi. Badshah explained that his intention was always to uplift the state’s culture, not to offend women or children, clarifying that the competitive tone of hip hop was directed at rivals, not society.
