Mumbai: Bollywood’s actress Sonakshi Sinha has lent his support to students who have taken to streets to protest what they allege is foul play in the JPSC and JSSC conducted examinations. The star has come out in support of the protesters. She also has raised concerns about the current state of affair and questions the time that the students will endure.

While re-sharing an Instagram video showing the student struggle across Jharkhand on her Instagram account, Sonakshi wrote “it pains to see the current struggle for the students of our country… when will this ever end?”. The issue instantly attracted the public’s’ support across all social media platforms.

Student activists in the state have been staging an indefinite protest in the Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium in the state’s capital for the last few weeks. They are demanding not only a probe in JPSC, JSSC-CGL and several other examination, but the cancellation of the JPSC 14th CombinedPreliminaryExamination, as well as, an enquiry into the recruitment process.

The protestors believe that the recruitment process lacks transparency and they are unlikely to expect fair results from a probe confined within state boundaries. The students are clamoring for intervention from central agencies, stern measures against perpetrators and transparence the employment process. The protests have already received endorsements from several social activists and other personalities apart from actors.
