Ramayana’s ‘Rama’ Teaser Cleared by CBFC with ‘U’ Certificate

Ramayana is shaping up to be one of 2026’s most anticipated releases, with the makers working tirelessly to keep the buzz alive. After dropping the film’s first introduction video on July 3, 2025—well over a year and a half ahead of its release—they are now gearing up to unveil another unit this Thursday.

The upcoming Ramayana unit, titled ‘Rama,’ has been cleared by the CBFC with a ‘U’ certificate. According to the censor approval, the clip runs for 158 seconds—equivalent to 2 minutes and 38 seconds.

Ramayana brings together Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, under the direction of Nitesh Tiwari of Dangal fame. Produced by Namit Malhotra, with music by A. R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer, the epic will unfold in two parts—Diwali 2026 and Diwali 2027. On March 27, the makers announced that a special ‘Rama’ glimpse will be unveiled on April 2, timed with Hanuman Jayanti
