Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 Hits Theatres on August 28, 2026

Nearly two decades after winning hearts with its sharp satire, Khosla Ka Ghosla is set to return. The makers have officially locked August 28, 2026, as the theatrical release date for the much-awaited sequel. The announcement came alongside the unveiling of the film’s poster, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the beloved comedy franchise.

Directed by Prashant Bhagia, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 is being backed by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under T-Series, in collaboration with Tandav Films. Producers Savita Raj Hiremath and Raj Hiremath are also on board for the project. While the storyline remains under wraps, the sequel promises nostalgia with the original cast returning to their iconic roles, alongside Ravi Kishan in a significant new part. First announced in January 2026, the film also marks a landmark for veteran actor Anupam Kher, who began shooting on January 3—his 550th project in Indian cinema. Kher celebrated the milestone with fans on social media, reflecting on his remarkable journey in the industry.

As he began filming Khosla Ka Ghosla 2 in Delhi, Anupam Kher reflected on a memorable moment from the Cannes Film Festival, where an international filmmaker had once dubbed him the ‘Marathon Man of Indian Cinema’ in recognition of his prolific career. Marking his 550th film, Kher shared his gratitude with fans, writing, ‘So today as I start my 550th film #KhoslaKaGhosla2 my heart is filled with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS!’ The original Khosla Ka Ghosla, celebrated for its witty take on middle-class dreams, family bonds, and the chaos of property disputes, continues to enjoy cult status. Its humour and relatable storytelling have kept audiences connected to the film even years after its release.
