Don't take antibiotics blindly as doctor advise over rainy season infection

News : Medical practitioners are strongly advising against self-medication with antibiotics without consulting a health practitioner especially during monsoon due to increasing occurrence of fever and viral infections.
Health professionals said that fever is not a disease itself but a symptom of some diseases like viral infections, dengue, malaria, fever caused by other bacterial infections etc.
Using antibiotics without correct diagnosis will not help in any sort of viral infection; besides that, it is one among several causes for creating future bacteria resistant to antibiotics.
The cases with constant fever, extreme weakness, respiratory problems and severe fatigue may be advised by doctor's after diagnosing the disease.
Doctors stressed on hygiene practice, safe water consumption, preventing breeding areas of mosquitoes in the surrounding and adhering to medical advice are important to check health hazards in monsoons.
It is just added as the latest medical advisory and shows doctor's earnest plea towards responsible consumption of medicine rather than resorting to antibiotics at first sight symptomatically.
