Bhooth Bangla Delayed by a Week, Early Screenings from April 16

The team behind Bhooth Bangla has officially revised its release calendar. The horror-comedy, produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, will now hit theatres a week later than planned. To keep the buzz alive, advance paid previews are scheduled to kick off on April 16, 2026, from 9 PM onwards.

The makers of Bhooth Bangla have opted for a strategic rescheduling, confirming that the horror-comedy will now release a week later than planned. Produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Akshay Kumar, the film will still give audiences an early taste through paid previews starting April 16, 2026, at 9 PM.
Explaining the move, Ektaa Kapoor highlighted that the decision came after extensive consultations with distributors and exhibitors across major markets. “We’ve chosen to shift the release by a week to ensure the film enjoys a strong theatrical run. This adjustment allows us to deliver the best possible experience to audiences,” she said.
Kapoor also acknowledged the current box office success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, noting that exhibitors wanted to give the film an uninterrupted window. “It’s important for the industry ecosystem that each release gets its fair space. By moving Bhooth Bangla, we’re making sure both films receive the attention and marketing push they deserve,” she added.
The strategy, she emphasized, is designed to benefit all stakeholders—filmmakers, exhibitors, and audiences alike—by ensuring that every film has the opportunity to shine without compromise.
