Akshay’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ Set to Run Nearly 3 Hours

Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla faces growing uncertainty. Originally slated for an April 10 release, buzz suggests the horror-comedy may now arrive on April 17. With no official word from the makers and the trailer—first promised on March 27, then March 30—still missing, speculation is mounting that the film has indeed been postponed.

A trade insider revealed to Bollywood Hungama that Bhooth Bangla clocks in at roughly 2 hours and 50 minutes. The final runtime could shift slightly after the censor process, but for now, it’s pegged at around 170 minutes.
If this duration holds, the film will rank among Akshay Kumar’s lengthiest outings in over a decade. Most of his releases in recent years have stayed under the 150-minute mark. The last time he delivered a film of similar scale was Holiday – A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), which also ran for 2 hours and 50 minutes.
Since then, only a handful of Akshay’s projects have crossed the 2-hour-30-minute threshold, including Baby (2015), Brothers (2015), Rustom (2016), Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Gold (2018), Kesari (2019), OMG 2 (2023), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2014), Sarfira (2024), Housefull 5 (2025), and Jolly LLB 3 (2025).
