Mumbai: OTT lovers, we have big news. The release date of Bhuvan Bam and Rohit Saraf'speriod drama 'The Revolutionaries'has been announced. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the series will feature a narrative of young revolutionaries who carried out an armed battle to oust the British out of India in the time of the independence movement.

It may be recalled that Bhuvan Bam is an actor who made his debut in the OTT world with series like 'Taaza Khabar' , whereas Rohit Saraf has been seen in projects like 'Mismatched', and 'The Sky Is Pink'.

An untold story of the freedom struggle

The narrative of 'The Revolutionaries' is inspired by Sanjeev Sanyal's best-selling book, 'Revolutionaries: The Other Story of How India Won Its Freedom'. It is a story about an inspiring generation of young Indians who, convinced that arms were the only way, fought against British occupation. This series will be portraying their struggle, their sacrifice, and love for their country with grandeur.

This period drama has been helmed by Nikkhil Advani. The series has been shot across various locations namely Mumbai, Amritsar, Varanasi and Dehradun, with makers having mounted up a grand project for the recreation of this phase of Indian history.
