Mumbai: Statement by Sunny Deol, while promoting his upcoming film 'Bantwara 1947', is becoming quite a debate on social media. Asked for his statement on Pakistan, Sunny Deol did not make direct political commentary, and the father, Dharmendra's old statement came to his mind, he reminded.
What did Sunny Deol say?
At the promotional event, on giving his statement on Pakistan, Sunny Deol clearly said that he is not a man who would comment on politics, my father used to say - "If India is my mother, then Pakistan is my aunt; before partition, both of them were one". He further went on to add that India is Pakistan's shared history of both countries and the job of artists is only to entertain the audience, no politics.
'We artists do not do politics'
During the conversation, Sunny Deol said - "There is nothing to do politics from it". His job is to tell stories through his films and deliver emotions to the people through the story of that film. He also revealed that "My film Batwara 1947 was shot in India, not in Pakistan".
