India vs Sri Lanka Test: India’s WTC hopes hinge on survival amidst rain threat

News: India are in a precarious situation in the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka, with rain looming large to potentially wash away the game and the team's World Test Championship chances. The Indian team had managed to exert some pressure over Sri Lanka after bagging crucial wickets, but the weather could decide the fate of the match. Incessant showers may lead to curtailed play and impede India's efforts to achieve the target.

The Indian team was aiming to consolidate their position after a dominating performance both with bat and ball.

However, Sri Lankan resistance at the back end of the match has made the final moments tricky. For India, every possible result now becomes critical as the team strives to improve its standing in the World Test Championship cycle. Cricket fans across the country are now keeping their fingers crossed, waiting with bated breath and scrutinizing the weather forecasts.
