Mumbai: On a recent episode of ‘The Traitors 2’, Rhea Chakraborty opened up about the challenging phases of her personal life and the continuous trolling that she faced over the years. In an episode, she shared that she would not want to essay the role of a ’Traitor’ on the show as even in her personal life she has been tagged as a ‘traitor’ (betrayer) by the world for a long time.

“I am the most trolled person in the country”

When asked on the reality TV show why she would not want to take on the role of Traitor, Rhea referenced the experiences from her life. She said, “I have for a long time perceived as a traitor by the world…I do not want to take that role and want to kill people in the game.”

Rhea joked that if she were the Traitor, then memes about her would start again and in that moment it was that she shared, “I am the most trolled person in the country.”

Reference to Sushant Singh Rajput’s case

Rhea's comment is understood as a reference to the chaotic period that followed the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, when she was subjected to constant criticism and public hatred for an extended time. She was arrested on a drugs case and then granted bail.

Rhea was also quoted in the show as saying: “For years I’ve been a suspicious character and I don’t want to go back to being suspicious characters,” and this observation is being attributed to her long public struggles.

Rhea’s ‘new avatar’ on The Traitors 2

Rhea made her reality TV debut as a contestant on Karan Johar-hosted The Traitors 2, wherein players are designated as 'Innocents' and 'Traitors'. In the show, while Traitors can get other players eliminated, other contestants have to identify the true traitors.

Rhea's honest confession about her life has gained more attention than the game of The Traitors 2 itself and many people are drawing parallels with past incidents too.
