Flash floods in several areas close to the Nepal-Tibet border also left a lot of people endangered – most of which had to be rescued. Prime Minister Modi had a conversation with PM Balendra Shah on the phone with the PM of India providing his country’s full cooperation to Nepal’s rescue efforts.

In addition to offering the help, India also sent emergency relief to the devastated parts of the neighbouring country which includes a number of necessary supplies.

The report states, more than 100 Indians were reported to be missing with additional information citing the missing numbers could indeed be more. The rescue personnel also expressed concern over more people to be found with many missing either on their journey back home or lost due to the deluge. Heavy road, as well as home, damages have been reported so far with rescue workers having a hard time in terms of communication barriers and the inclement weather and terrain.
