Awarapan 2 Box Office: Emraan Hashmi starrer is racing towards 100 crore mark; is 60 crore ahead of 'Bantwara 1947'

Mumbai: Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani starrer film 'Awarapan 2' is doing wonderful business at the box office. Released on August 14, the movie surpassed the 90 crore mark by the fourth day of release at the domestic box office and now is inches away from entering the 100 crore club.

'Awarapan 2' earnings get a push

The net earnings of the film after its first three days was about 82 crore. The film maintained a good hold on the collection in the weekdays after its release Monday and crossed the 90 crore mark in its total domestic collection by its fourth day.

Now, people are expecting the film to touch the 100 crore mark by Tuesday and if this happens, it will become Emraan Hashmi's major solo blockbuster.

Leads 'Bantwara 1947' by over 60 crore

There is a huge difference between the collection of 'Awarapan 2' and that of Sunny Deol's 'Bantwara 1947' which was also released near Independence Day. By the fourth day, while the former has collected over 90 crore, 'Bantwara 1947' could only manage to collect about 30 crore.

On Monday, there was a drop of about 72% in the collections of 'Bantwara 1947' and the film managed to collect only around 2 crore as compared to the box office performance of 'Awarapan 2'.

On its way to become Emraan Hashmi's biggest solo hit

The film 'Awarapan 2' marks a huge milestone for Emraan Hashmi as within just four days, it has become the biggest hit among his solo releases. As per reports, the worldwide collection of the film has already surpassed 130 crore.

Meanwhile, the first part of 'Awarapan' released in 2007 and although it was not a major hit back then, eventually it became a cult film and thus the expectations from the sequel was quite high among the audiences.

How much more will 'Awarapan 2' collect?

Considering the current pace of the film, the ultimate question is what the potential of the film turns out to be beyond 100 crore mark and whether 'Awarapan 2' can create new records of earnings. It has quickly climbed the list of the year 2026's Hindi movies and will surely create a benchmark with its final collection.
