Mumbai Bollywood superstar Kartik Aaryan on Saturday contributed Rs 1 crore towards Assam Chief Minister's Relief Fund to aid the victims who are reeling under the deadly impact of the statewide floods. The young actor’s move of immense support has impressed the Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. While many are suffering due to these unfortunate events, Kartik has offered an assist to the state to help all the victims of this major disaster with a donation of Rs 1 crore.
CM Hails The Kind Move CM Himanta Biswa Sarma took to his Twitter handle to praise the initiative and wrote, “It’s heartwarming that actors and celebrities come forward to help in such times” while taking to Twitter to congratulate the star for his efforts in these hard times. Efforts to Help Relief Efforts are on in the Assam State. People are drowning in parts of Assam since floods have created havoc in multiple regions of Assam. It is with a view to rendering them required and desired help and assistance that various parties have decided to engage in rescue and relief, and in so doing, are looking toward creating positive impact through various social initiatives, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma updated that over 4 million people have been affected and over 90 people have died in floods this year, with over 7.49 lakh hectares of land under water.
